During my lunch break today I was browsing through the Newgrounds Wiki for really no good reason, and I stumbled upon something that made me think.
https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/about-newgrounds/history#wiki_toc_21
From skimming the wiki in months prior I can't say I remember Mr. Tom wanting to have exclusive releases for supporters. Doing a quick CTRL + F also shows this is the only mention of a game sponsorship.
This got me thinking - I have a game that's out recently that is pretty damn Newgrounds specific. Do non-supports like it? Probably. Do NG supports like it? probably a little more. It is NG trivia with a lot of namedrops after all! It's also gotten a lot of eyes on it thanks to Newgrounds front page and the great scores it's received.
So how can I respond to this small mention of something in a super long wiki? I'll toss more effort into my game and release an update exclusive to supports for awhile! The game has been a passion project out of nowhere for the last few months anyway, what's another week of scoping out more questions anyway?
Yep, for you trivia nerds out there you're getting an update! There's no specifics whatsoever but I'd like to at least add 15-20 trivia questions to each pack as a final update. It would make me happy to see the game have a total of over 500 questions (currently at 415 I think) so that'll be the goal.
What will this exclusivity look like? no clue. We'll toss the preview page to supporters-only and put the update there for a week maybe? If more forethought went into the release of the game we could've done something like this for the initial release, but oh well. And the next game in the series would be borderline abusive to release to supporters only (It's looking to be another collection with that really bad TT: Impossible game remastered as a pack) so I don't want to do that.
Anyways, enough about that, time to get back to the day! I'll toss another post up going into more detail if/when there's more detail.
