Music is a little loud by default and the resolution seems a little whacky. Besides that it seems to be a pretty OK runner with a good intro animation.

I like it - there's definitely some rough edges and I'll admit it took me a little too long to figure out you can punch bells mid-air (I thought the bells were collectables for different characters like some of the ol retro games had)

Overall I think the music, visual style, and experience from what I encountered. The character can sometimes seem to 'float' around although this wasn't much of a problem after I got the hang of movement controls. Level design could also maybe be expanded - I really liked the first level/night city but it felt like it was over right as I got the hang of mid-air bell punching!

I like it, good vampire survival style game that IMO has better visual work to it. It's pretty basic in its current state and I'd love to see work continued on the game - upgrades, different characters, and a little balancing (difficulty seems to really ramp up around level 10 without a good way to heal/dodge).

Good work!

P.S. some explanation of the stats on the pause menu would help too - not too sure what luck does?

Thank you for playing and I'm really glad you like the game. I'll plan on adding a hover details for the skills at the pause menu for more deets since right now there's only 10 skills and 5 passive perks you can get. Quite a handful but in the future. I'll expand the skills and add their info as well. Luck... well. that doesn't do anything right now, Was trying to think of something to use that in the future that would make sense.

I like chickens

I like the presentation and increasing difficulty as waves continue (Wave 2 felt like quite an increase imo). I was hoping for more challenges as waves progressed beyond the 3 meteors and a potential change in scenery as I progressed (sorry if this is in the game, didn't get to it if it is).
Overall not bad, great music, good premise, just was hoping for different challenges/looks as I progressed.

I mistakenly thought you'd need to clear all white tiles and collect all the brains until I hit either level 4-5 so that made my attempts a little easier. Neat game though, good gameplay and plenty of levels to try out.
I'd say this has a really great presentation and time well spent building a visually pleasing and calming look & feel that would separate it from similar games already out there.

Played this on another side many many years ago and didn't realize it was here on NG all along. Really unique game that mixes the music and gameplay very well. Still holds up today!

For a game made in 48 hours this is actually really impressive. Unique idea & gameplay, decent logic to solving each level, and from what I can tell a pretty bug-free experience (had some odd collision after combining two of those 3-platform pieces in level 10 or 11). Keep up the awesome work!

I kinda like the game, pretty neat with a really cool aesthetic going on here. Only suggestions are related to the letter pairs and shop.
At first I thought any word containing the listed letters would suffice (eg. pair being sw, 'sword' would work, 'words' would work) but found that was not the case. I think it would be cool if we could craft words with the letters in any order as that would give some additional flexibility. I also found the pairs would repeat somewhat frequently which isn't bad but I ended up re-using words from session to session.
For the shop - I played through 3-4 games and had enough credit to purchase the time upgrade. Pricing on the other items seems a little high as I'd need to play a dozen or more times to unlock some of the upgrades. I feel like some of the gameplay upgrades would be fun to play around with but I don't know if I'll be sticking around with the dozen or so times needed to unlock them. Maybe to keep the grind going have some cosmetics available to unlock for the higher prices (shop cat as the typing mascot / different color backgrounds / etc)?

Overall pretty neat game!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'm going to try to get an update out soon with all that in mind. Your idea of "I think it would be cool if we could craft words with the letters in any order as that would give some additional flexibility." Is honestly an amazing idea, I definitely will be adding that in the next update. I will be lowering the prices of items as well, I always did think they were a little expensive, and this gave me confirmation. Thanks for your feedback dude! I appreciate you! :)

Glad you enjoyed the game!

A very interesting concept for a clicker/incremental game, just not a big fan of how slow it is and how upgrades/progression isn't too well explained from the start (I can see the medals but am a bit afraid to ask how many books it'll take for that one achievement + am not sure how selling books for $7 in the beginning translates to legislation). I made it about 4-5 books in before writing this and am not too sure how the ghostwriter is helping me.
My other main criticism is the lack of immersion or 'pazazz'. While the text is written it would be cool to hear a typewriter or pen writing on paper for example. Maybe after a book is completed a 'thud' or closing of a book sound is played. Beyond sound improvements to the visuals would be cool. I see this is a game jam submission so understand there's a time crunch but wanted to offer some suggestions and things i think may make this a bit better.
